First as Tragedy, Then as Farce

For those who haven’t seen it, this RSA animation presents Slavoj Žižek’s take on charity, CSR and philanthropy as egotistical expressions of ‘cultural capitalism’. With quite a nod to Oscar Wilde too.

    I dared to challenge the Zizek brain in this blog – I prefer to accept that charity (a good thing) and work on social justice are inherently contradictory and complex and you just have to live with that and make the wisest decisions you can…
