Guardian piece on INGO split

Here’s the good piece by Mark Tran outlining the current divide between aid agencies and those who advocate a global justice perspective. Mark quotes extensively from the report of the Progressive Development Forum held on 19 July (available in the previous post on this page) as well as from the critical piece on Cameron’s hunger summit written by Owen Barder. The Guardian piece is apparently doing the rounds among NGOs, and should help in starting the debate more widely.

Just read this article and made me google the Progressive Development Forum. Very pleased to have found this blog – added to my RSS reader and looking forward to keeping up with the content, this is a much needed area of debate!
